Customer Responsibility

Oil and Filter Changes

Your Personal Warranty Responsibility: RAM warranty, like that of any engine manufacturer or overhauler, may be assumed to be subject to reductions of benefits if proper engine maintenance is not performed, as well as properly recorded in the aircraft engine log books. Especially important to proper aircraft engine maintenance is the need for frequent oil and filter changes - as recommended above and expected by RAM.

RAM recommends changing the oil and filter every 50 hours or 4 months whichever occurs first.

Two major reasons for frequent oil changes are:
(1) Flush out metal particles.
(2) Flush out acid contamination.

Air Filter Changes

RAM advises that air filters being used with RAM OHE engines should be replaced every 12 months or 300 hours - whichever occurs first. A logbook entry is applicable. Not complying may damage the engine and be reason for reduced RAM warranty benefits.
