RAM OHE Engine Specialization

RAM's three computer monitored engine test cells include a water brake dynamometer, one of the most thorough methods for breaking-in an engine while measuring torque and horsepower. Updated ten times per second, 48 channels of computer information provide exacting temperature and fuel flow information, providing RAM Crew Chiefs the knowledge necessary to tune engines properly before shipment.

Each RAM OHE engine is assembled as a single traceable unit beginning with selection of new and overhauled parts issued as a fresh engine kit. The engine is then assembled as a new unit by one of RAM's specialized mechanics.

Throughout the engine building process, Quality Control inspectors ( with full go or no-go authority ) systematically measure tolerances and inspect workmanship. Such redundant inspections provide the important cross check procedures that ensure RAM quality.
