310 hp Engine STC
RAM offers an STC to upgrade the horsepower from 285 hp to 310 hp for early model Cessna T210 and T206 series aircraft. Applicable airplanes are: Cessna T206 A through F models, years 1966 through 1976 and Cessna T210 F through L models, years 1966 through 1976. For the Cessna T206, the TSIO-520-C 285 hp engine is replaced by a TSIO-520-M 310 hp engine. For the T210, the TSIO-520-H 285 hp engine is replaced by a TSIO-520-R. There is no option for
non-turbocharged aircraft. Upgrade requires propeller change, see below.

Installation Hardware Kits for T206 & T210
This kit provides for the installation of a new
propeller and a 310 hp engine into a Cessna T210
or Cessna T206 originally manufactured with a
285 hp TCM engine installed. Installing a 310
hp engine and applicable propeller can also be
accomplished by the purchase of only RAM's STC's
and drawings sold above.

Cessna 414A Upgrade
Current RAM STC Upgrades for prior RAM upgrades. . . New Propellers, Higher 7,105 lbs. Gross Weight, and Vortex Generators Prior RAM 414A upgrade (non-Winglet models), either 310 or 325 hp, RAM Series I, II, III & IV models may upgrade to new McCauley Sabre-Tip C515 propellers offering improved sound and the reliability of the latest propeller technology. The RAM STC specifies that RAM vortex generators are installed. (Other makes of vortex generators, except ATS, can be DER approved by RAM as compatible.) Consistent with RAM's STC to install new McCauley C515 propellers, the upgrading RAM 414A will also become STC approved to operate at the revised Gross Weight of 7,105 lbs., with a Ramp Weight of 7,140 lbs. Cessna 402C RAM STC Upgrades
RAM STC: 360 lbs. Useful Load Increase.
Gross Weight Increased from 6,850 lbs. to 7,210 lbs., with Ramp Weight increased to 7,245 lbs. This Gross Weight Increase is FAA approved with a RAM Flight Manual Supplement only, and requires that the FMS be carried aboard the airplane available to the pilot. RAM STC: RAM Vortex Generators.
At slow speeds and high angles of attack, vortex generators (VG's) better manage the airflow across the wings and tail. Depending on landing gear and flap configuration, RAM VG's reduce stall speeds 2 to 5 kcas, and Vmc from 81 kcas down to 71 kcas. RAM VG's are not required for RAM's Gross Weight STC above. The two STC's are sold separately, and may be installed independent of each other. Sold per aircraft serial number.

RAM 414AW
Winglet Aircraft Zero Fuel Weight Increase |
When your Cessna 414A gross weight was limited to 6,750 lbs. the Zero Fuel Weight was approved as 6,515 lbs. With the addition of RAM winglets, the gross weight was certified at 7,087 lbs. but the Zero Fuel Weight was reduced to 6,200 lbs. Thus, the additional 315 lbs. of useful load provided for additional fuel weight only. At the time RAM winglets were certified, reducing the Zero Fuel Weight was deemed to be of little or no significance to typical IFR flights requiring trip fuel to be 70% of the available aircraft capacity, or 150 gallons of the Cessna 414As 203 gallon capacity. However, some charter operators need only 46.5 gallons a side for short trips - with maximum cabin payload. Returning ZFW back up to 6,515 lbs. allows optimum cabin payload.
With installation of RAM Kit N-ZFW the fuel on board may now be as little as 46% or 95 gallons fuel, using up only 570 lbs. of the aircrafts available useful load. Kit N-ZFW is a set of wing stringer doublers added to the inboard wing section only. Installation can be accomplished in approximately 16 hours per airplane. De-fueling is required. These stringer doublers are the same type RAM installs during 421CW winglet installations. This kit is not available for models with Robertson STOL Fowler flaps installed. Liquid-Cooled RAM V upgrade must have RAM Vortex Generators installed.

Beechcraft Barons 58P - TJ-3 through TJ-168, and 58TC - TK-1 through
TK-84. This STC provides for 325 hp TSIO-520-WB engines upgrade, plus a 100 lbs. Gross Weight increase from 6,100 lbs. to 6,200 lbs. Models previously upgraded to 325 hp -WB engines may use the STC to obtain the +100 lbs. gross weight increase. RAM engines are not required. This new STC Includes a new Flight Manual Supplement with an expanded Performance Section providing compliance with FAR 135. The STC usage fee is sold separately by aircraft serial number and includes the necessary placards and documentation.
Requires FAA Authorized Repair Station remarking of gauges: Airspeed, Manifold Pressure and Tachometer. RAM TSIO-520-WB engines, new propellers, and installation materials also available and sold separately. RAM recommends installing new McCauley C-521 propellers; however, most existing Hartzell propellers remain eligible for the STC - please check with a RAM Sales Representative. This STC fee is discounted when ordered concurrent with RAM engines or the purchase of McCauley STC & New C-521 propellers from RAM.

Most practical time to apply these STCs is during a normal TBO overhaul. STCs were originally engineered to allow these models of O-320 engines to burn 100 octane fuel. These STCs are not offered to suggest a significant performance increase.
STC - Engine Horsepower Increase Authorization:
Allows increasing from 150 hp to 160 hp using the existing 150 hp Lycoming O-320 engine. Involves cylinder change/substitution, re-jet the carbureator, and re-pitch the propeller - all of which must be purchased separately. Requires purchase of second STC below which allows for installation of the same engine once the 160 hp changes have been implimented.

STC - Airframe Engine Installation Authorization:
Allows installation of a 160 hp Lycoming engine in applicable airplane which was originally manufactured having a 150 hp engine. The 160 horsepower engine can be either a 150 hp engine set up to produce 160 hp per the above engine STC, or the installation may involve installing a specific model 160 hp Lycoming originally manufactured to deliver160 hp. STC includes needed drawings and placards. STC invloves applying applicable placards, using 100 octane fuel, flying per the STC issued flight manual supplement which should be kept in the airplane.
